The rainy weather  continued into July with several strong storms. Check out this "super cell" just west of the city that came through (photo coutersy of Alberta Storms Report). It was some wild weather!

I went for walks and bike rides through parks and the valley to check out the extra water in the ponds, wetlands and the river. 

But with all the storms, came some spectacular rainbows afterwards. 

I was thrilled to see an old pond in Gold Bar Park that had become a dry basin, fill up a bit!

And everywhere it seemed so lush including the yard!

We celebrated Chris' birthday in July ~

And I made him an Evil Eye for our pub downstairs to ward of bad spirits:

Pam, his sister, was over to celebrate too and we gave her her birthday gift that Judy painted and I beaded: 

We had a family reunion in July, with my Aunties and Uncles on my Mom's side who flew in for a week of fun and food!

I drove down to Drumheller to visit my friend, Tricia and enjoy "Camp-o-ween" at the trailer park resort that she spends summer weekends. Camp-o-ween is just as fun for the adults as it is for the kids!

More reunions ensued in August with a Christmas in Summer party and jam at one of our friends' place:

And a visit from an old friend we haven't seen in awhile:

Chris had his hands full, building new steps and decks. The front one is still in progress so I'll share that when it's finished. So far though, the back is looking great!

It wouldn't be summer without picnics in the park!

And it wouldn't be August without time at our favourite festival, The Fringe. Chris and I managed 8 plays over 3 days and the weather was fantastic (finally).

How's your summer been? Hard to believe we are jumping into September already! I'm hoping for a long, drawn out fall for sure.
