Paintings Large and Small

Posted on August 26 2015

This is Judy (snapped awhile back), working on a show for an art gallery in town.  It's no secret around these parts that Judy has a passion for zebras & likes to capture them in "unusual" places.  This show focused on zebras against African fabric backgrounds called "Market Day" & was inspired after a trip to the Serengeti.

Since graduating with her Fine Arts Degree, Judy has been in over 30 Exhibitions & although she's an amazing jewelry designer, painting is her first love. Here's a few more of her works from previous years ~

This past winter after our jewelry shows, Judy got the itch to start painting again so we did a little brainstorming & came up with the idea of her painting in miniature & somehow figuring out how to make those miniatures into jewelry!

And now we are at the point where we can share these little beauties with you, so that you can wear her works of art like magical talismans & reminders of wonderment.

Above, Judy's working on more zebras!  And below, she's just finished a new set of owls & hares, which will be poured with resin later this week & I will make some glass beads to accompany them ~

So, what do you think?  We would love some feedback!

OMG, the miniatures are truly beautiful. So glad Judy decided she had to paint again! Could you give me an idea of price? Always a factor!! Hope you are still enjoying summer and congrats for Gardens in Bloom.

Judy…your work is exquisite! All of the pieces are wonderful but I love, love, love the bunnies. The cuteness factor of little Goober owl is hard to surpass.
